Glavine really hasnt had his "half" that he's been famous for since becoming a Met so I say he tears it up down the stretch here and gets his season ERA just under the 4 mark.
As for next year....I really dont know yet. If my gues comes true, I wouldnt mind him coming back as a #5 for another year. Nothing wrong with a pitcher who can deliver 200 innings, 30+ starts, and a 4 era from the back of the rotation.
As to whether or not he even plays another year...I think that will be determined down the stretch and into the playoffs. One thing is pretty clear, the only place he'd be pitching is in NY (since I think the Braves made it pretty clear they didnt want him back during the offseason). |
