Even if they did, the Mets would never get decent value back on Delgado at this point...and who knows what Teixeira would do moving from an AL bandbox to Shea.

I'm not going to put all my eggs into the home/away splits and just write the guy off because I do believe he is an extremely talented hitter, but I think you do have to take a little notice when the other stadiums in his division play more like NL parks and his career numbers are - .265 .359 .492 .850 away from home.
