Which either a) speaks a lot about the talent of the team or b) speaks a lot about how lousy the NL East is.

Being a natural pessimist in all things, I lean towards b. However, I think a lot of credit for the Mets still being in 1st goes to Maine & Perez. Where would the Mets be if those two had crapped out this year? Probably looking up to the Braves right now.
