The other prominent injured Met, Pedro Martinez, has been on his rehab hiatus, and yesterday Minaya insisted that the injured ace “is fine.” Martinez still hasn’t thrown his second simulated game or begun his rehab assignment - one of which was supposed to be the next step following his hiatus. The GM said Martinez has been doing some throwing during his rest and insisted he’s “very confident” the pitcher will return this season. The Mets have been projecting him back in August. |
