 Eddie C on Franco..
I tried to see if any comments were made in the Franco Flinstone thread but I couldn't find any info. I was listening to the FAN but was getting bad reception.. Did anyone catch what Eddie C was saying? Something to the effect that Franco's presence in the clubhouse was overrated, that he seemed to be selfish in that he complained about playing time. He even quoted Valentin as saying something to the effect that Franco would not even stretch with him. He also said that Franco was really Omar's boy not Willie's. Is it correct to conclude that Willie was not a big Franco fan.
If that is the case then ...good riddance. All you heard from Gary Cohen and Ron Darling is how much of a positive clubhouse presence he was. I guess once he was no longer playing...he didn't give a ... and just began to *****. It also shows you that, although they are great on air analysts, Gary, Ron, and Keith really have no real idea what is going on in the clubhouse..If something is really wrong in the clubhouse this year, we won't find out until someone key is traded or let go. |
