I was wondering if those watching on TV or radio may have heard a bit more about this. Around the fourth inning or so (while the Mets were batting) there was an incident along the third base line. At first everyon in our section (out by the LF foul pole) thought it was fight being broken up but after a few minutes it clearly wasn't. There was someone down and they were doing chest compressions for the entire time the Mets were up at the plate. As someone who as been involved in far too many of those situations at work, I am sure it did not end well but sometimes miracles happen. I couldn't see when they eventaully put him on the stretcher and took him to the ambulance but I can't think of a more traumatic experience for the gentleman's family (or whoever came to the game with him) and for the people, especially any kids in the area. I have my fingers crossed that it turned out alright and it really put the meaninglessness of the beaseball game in perspective.
