So they lack the iota of "drive" it takes to keep themselves, at bare minimum, sheltered, despite being otherwise perfectly capable of doing so. But somehow on election day they are going to be motivated enough, all on their own without any illegal enticement, to go vote?

For the ones that have mental or physical handicaps, we shouldn't shun these people away from society. They need help, and a lot of them clearly aren't getting the proper help, attention, and proper medical care they need. This is not the fault of Republicans or Democrats, it's a fault of the whole system. Maybe we should spend less money overseas and take care of our own first.

If they are emotionally and/or mentally handicapped enough that it invalidates their ability to care for themselves, why in God's name should they have a voice in selecting everyone's public servants?
Any way you want to slice it, homeless people have absolutely zero business voting.
