He has 873 major league AB's. He's not a kid on the field anymore unless he's giving the fans high fives or showing up the other team, which he's nowhere near good enough to do. Like I said, his baggage is not worth it to the Mets, and to think he would develop into anything better than what Church did in 2007 here would be foolish...
