I dont see how we can even THINK about talking about October, as the season may very well end on Sunday. Even IF they get to the post-season, they cant get far, with this Sh*thole of a bullpen.
Aside from the bullpen, the mental toughness of this team MUST be questioned, as they rarely come through in clutch situations. For some insane reason, the offense seems to think a baseball game is won and lost in the first 3 innings. Most of us know, it doesn't work that way.
You claim you cant blame Omar for this ? Who DO we blame ? The tooth fairy ? Any smart GM would have had the bullpen as priority #1, after last seasons debacle. Omar deluded himself into thinking all was well, while we ALL knew it was not. This, and NOT firing Willie at the end of last season, may very well prove to be our undoing AGAIN this season.
