Jose Vidro has been designated for assignment. If he is released after 10 days the Mets would be only responsible for the prorated minimum. Not that I am biased
but I'd rather have him off the bench as a lefty (than Anderson when he returns) or Cancel as a righty and he would take up only one roster spot. He can also spot Delgado at first AND would provide a more than adequate #2 hitter when needed. Lately he has been hitting better and for the rest of the season and the ML minimum, I think Mets can't go wrong... Heck, we've given just about everyone else a chance...
