I once followed the Isles relatively closely and had season tickets, even as all the ridiculous expansion and teams moving south (Carolina? Atlanta? Columbus?!) and the annual sweeping rule changes began to turn me off and give me an Arena Football feel about the league. Moving to Jersey in recent years put me even more out of touch and for the most part haven't had the slightest interest at all since the strike.
Nevertheless, watching that goal at .03 made me feel like I'd been stabbed through the heart. |
