I'm sure it was collectively bargained, and I'm sure the commissioner was more than happy to put things like this in order to secure a tougher policy. The whole paid attendance thing is silly anyway. What if Mota pitched simulated games against Met minor leaguers where nobody paid to attend, what would be the difference? |
