Look, I'm not happy at all with his taking strike three syndrome but don't even compare him Bonilla. Bonilla did absolutely nothing with the Mets. Beltran has been an MVP candidate and a two time gold glover.

It is called hyperbole. Yes, I know he literally isn't the worst cleanup hitter in the history of the game but he is not getting the job done. I don't care that he was good last year (During which by the way he had more ABs as the third hitter than the cleanup spot), this year he sucks and maybe they need to do something to shake it up a bit. He is on pace for 23 HRs and 106 RBIs, so while it is possible that he "may" hit 30 it is more likely that he won't and there is a good possibility that he may not reach 100 RBIs. That is just unacceptable for a guy in the cleanup spot especially when you have Reyes, who doesn't have a great OBP but is having a good year, and Wright hitting in front of him.
