 Anyone see the Damon play during the Sox game?
Probably one of the weirdest things I've seen in a baseball game. Youkilis (spelling?) crushes a pitch off of Rasner into left field and Damon, as terrible of an outfielder as he is, almost makes an awesome, leaping play robbing the hitter of a double, but the impact with the fence (that would eventually cause Damon to leave the game with a shoulder injury) jars the ball loose and the ball sits on the top of the wall for a considerable amount of time. Kay, still thinking that Damon had caught the ball creams his pants, but the ball finally drops due to the shaking of the wall from the initial impact. Two runs score and the batter has a triple. |
