With Delgado you have a guy who had perennially hit close to .280 with his HRs and RBIs (before becoming a Met, of course). Dunn is Dave Kingman -- low average, high power, tons of strikeouts. He's a lifetime .247 hitter. Check out his 2004 season -- 46 HRs but 195 Ks!!!
Like Kingman, there's nowhere really to hide him on the field. DH is his best role, but if he's in the NL then he should be at 1B, not out in LF. Since Dunn has declared he doesn't want to play 1B then the Mets shouldn't consider him. Beltran would die from either exhaustion chasing everything Dunn missed or in a head on collision with that behemoth.
