If Omar doesn't make it to 2009 I would think and hope that the new GM would attempt to purge the team of Omar's mistakes such as telling Delgado not to let the door hit him on the way out (HEY CARLOS, I'M GOING TO BE HERE LONGER THAN YOU! would be a fitting good-bye) and trading/releasing Castillo (a trade would be ideal, eating a portion of his contract, and getting
something in return). Then sign Hudson, a non-crippled corner outfielder (hopefully Church returns and plays well in '08 so that the front office doesn't have to look for two corner outfielders), make some smart deals with relievers, and get younger with the bench.
