I'd just rather not feed into the "season is over" bullsh*t when there's three games left.

The season is over when another team finishes ahead of the Mets. I still have faith and always will...maybe the ship is all but sunk, but it's not completely under water yet, despite what the rest of this board would like to belive.
F*ck you.

For months, months, you looked down your nose at anyone that had the audacity to suggest that something was off with this team and that the Phillies and/or Braves were a threat.

It wasn't just that you disagreed, because there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It was that you arrogantly dismissed it completely out of hand, and cited your superior "perspective," belittling literally everyone else here like the self absorbed jackass you are.

You never missed an opportunity to remind everyone who vented and let off steam how calm, cool, collected, and presumably intellectually superior you were because you didn't succumb to negativity "at the drop of a hat."

Well guess what? You were wrong. Whether or not this collapse makes sense or was extremely unlikely, whether or not certain people would complain even if the Mets won the WS in 5 games instead of 4, they were right and you were wrong. And you weren't just "expressing your opinion." You were being a pompous, condescending ass.

Now, instead of being contrite and apologizing for being such an insufferable assh*le for so long, you come back with "WAAAA!" as if you still maintain the high ground here and always have, and everyone else has the problem.

And it has nothing to do with what happens this weekend. You scoffed at the mere suggestion that the Mets were the least bit vulnerable, least of all to the Phillies. You ignorantly cited "the first six weeks," time after time after time, as an excuse to dismiss as an aberration one of the many crappy runs this team has had since. Guess what? They're 53-54 since "the first six weeks." Textbook definition of mediocre. But you had them pegged as an inpenetrable fortress all along, and anyone who doubted was a doom-and-glooming moron.

F*ck you.
