Brooklynite Joe McDonald is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of NY Sports Day. Joe is responsible for overseeing
the day to day operations, the growth, and expansion of the
site.
Besides NY Sports Day, Joe is the Managing Editor of NY Sportscene Magazine and the Assistant Editor of Mets Inside Pitch Magazine..
He is also a regular contributer to Blueshirt Bulletin Magazine.
His work has also been published in the NY Daily News, MLB.com,
Arizona Republic, Columbus Dispatch, Detroit Free Press,
SportsFan Magazine, Hudson Valley Renegades Official Site and the Albany River Rats official site.
Joe has been on a number of episodes of SNY's Mets Weekly program during the baseball season, while also appearing on From Bums to Cyclones, a video produced by the Brooklyn Cyclones. He also has been on numerous radio programs as a guest.
Currently, he is a member of the New York chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association, and has held credentials from most of the area sports teams.
Joe is also a web designer through his company Damocles Designs. He designed this website and other sports outlets on the Internet.
He is 38 and now lives
in West Hempstead, NY with his wife, Liz.

In addition, Joe is a freelance sportswriter and contributes a regular column to a number of websites and numerous leagues and teams, including, the USBL (North East Pennsylvania Breakers), IBL, NAFL (New York Predators), and WPFL (Albany Ambush). He has had articles published in, Gotham Baseball Magazine, The New Jersey Daily Record, Breakaway! Monthly magazine, The Canarsie Courier, and The Montauk Sun. Joe is also a weekly sports commentator on Sirius Satellite Radio.

John J. Buro, the publisher of Profiles in Sport, is in his second season as the beat writer for both the Knicks and Liberty. His third book, Profiles: Stories From the Sidelines will be out during the winter. Previously, he had authored Deliver Us from Evil and Bite of the Shark -A Baseball Novel. In 2004, he completed his first screenplay, Best Seats in the House.
He maintains a weekly by-line with The Wave of Long Island, and has written for several regional publications, including The Chronicle [Pa.], Gotham Baseball, New York Sportscene and SportsFan Magazine.
He is a past recipient of the George Goldstone Medal of Journalism, and resides in northeastern Pennsylvania.

He also has worked with hockey personality Stan "The Maven" Fischler. In his time there, he contributed to Fischler's weekly hockey column "The Fischler Report" as well as writing several player profiles for Stan's Detroit Red Wings' book. Derek has also worked for ESPN as an NHL researcher contributing extensive stats research to various telecasts. He serves as Senior Writer for NY Sports Day and covers the New Jersey Devils and Staten Island Yankees.

Mark Healey has covered both the major and minor leagues on both a local and national level since 1998, and his articles have appeared in such publications as the Brooklyn Skyline newspaper and Mets Inside Pitch. His background also includes stints as a producer/reporter and anchor on WSTC-AM (Stamford, CT) and News Director at WRKL-AM (Pomona, NY). Mark is now the Exectutive Editor of Gotham Baseball Magazine and his "On Sports" column appears on NY Sports Day.

Phil Donohue is a Sports Reporter at WOR Radio and has worked for the station in various capacities for over six years. Currently, he is WOR's Yankee and Ranger beat reporter and can be heard regularly on WOR's Saturday Morning Live doing weekly Yankee features. Throughout the baseball season you can also hear Phil on the WOR Morning Show. In his time at WOR, Phil has covered the Yankees, Rangers, Mets, and Giants, conducting locker room interviews and producing sound for broadcast.
Phil first met NY Sports Day's Editor-in-Chief, Joe McDonald, while covering the Rangers during the 2005-2006 season. He will now serve as the mole inside Yankee Stadium for an internet daily that proudly wears Mets colors in its background.
Phil, 29, was born and raised in Manhattan and now resides in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn.

Gary Harding is a former President of the New York Islanders Booster Club, as well as a long time Mets and Jets fan. His baseball loyalties have recently changed to the Ducks, because of the close proximity to his Halesite, Long Island home. He is also a co-host of the NY Hockey Report with Joe McDonald and an Islander season ticket holder. When he is not at hockey games, he is in Operations for a major rental car company, and bowled a perfect 300 game on May 4, 1994.

Shea Stadiums, serves "not so occasionally" as the Official Scorer for the
Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees, and is the PA Announcer for LIU
Basketball, Iona Basketball, and St. John's Baseball. With the minor league
baseball season completed and the Yankees quick exit out of this year's
postseason, Federal Law Enforcement officials asked NY SportsDay to provide
him tickets to the NLCS and World Series or send him to Giants Stadium to
cover Big Blue. We chose the latter.

Anthony also provided online coverage (U.S. College Hockey Online), print coverage (USA College Hockey Magazine) and some Internet broadcasting (play-by-play, color and in-between period commentary) for Iona College’s Division I ice hockey team for three years prior to Iona’s eliminating the program in 2003. Anthony earned his B.A. in Journalism and History from Iona College in 1988.

After a brief stint on the Regional Pro Bowling Tour, Gordon went back to his first love, Photography. His work has appeared in The Newark Star Ledger, Wresting's Main Event, Wrestling World, Metal Edge Magazine, Newark Bears baseball cards / programs / ads / Web site and his own web page, Newark Bears Fan Club which he is also president of. Being one who is a fan of good players more than any one team, he can be found rooting for The Newark Bears, Mets, Islanders, Giants, Texans and all their affiliates. He can also be found shooting bands playing the local club scene.
