After 54 years, the 1994 New York Rangers did it. The curse was broken and the Blueshirts won the Stanley Cup.
It was one of the benchmark sporting events in New York during the 1990s and the team became one of the most beloved in history.
And with the Rangers missing the playoffs for seven straight seasons, the lore of the 94 team became more and more legendary.
Now Warner Home Video and NHL Productions has released the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals versus the New Jersey Devils and the victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Stanley Cup Finals on an 15 DVD box set.
The set retails for $99.99 on Shop.NHL.com, but to celebrate the team’s return to the playoffs, NY Sports Day will be giving away two copies of the box set to subscribers of the NYSD newsletter.
To enter, simply enter your email address below and follow the instructions.
If the form doesn't work, you can simply follow this link.
Once you are confirmed by Feedblitz, you must sign up successfully by responding to the email sent out, then you will be automatically entered.
Also you must keep your email public, because by clicking the privacy setting will prevent us from seeing it and that makes it impossible to pick.
The newsletter is free and sends NYSD’s unique articles right into the inbox in the morning, including total coverage of the Rangers playoff run.
NYSD will be drawing one email address at random at 3 p.m. on Saturday – right before Game One – against the Devils and then another one on Wednesday before Game Three to celebrate the return of the postseason to Madison Square Garden.
We wish all who enter the best of luck.
