Clippers Tie The Series!

September 12, 2004 - Eric Schmitt (insert) was dominating for seven innings holding Richmond scoreless and leading the Clippers to 3-2 victory to even the playoff series at two games apiece. The two teams will face off Monday in the deciding game of the series. the Game will start at 7:00 PM (ET). Schmitt allowed just two hits and struck out six batters.

John Rodriguez led the Clippers offense going 3-for-3 with two RBI. Robinson Cano also supplied three hits and knocked in a run. Felix Escalona had two hits and scored a run. Jason Giambi on a rehab assignment went 1-for-4 with a double.

Luis Lopez brought the Braves back into the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a two run double off of relief pitcher Sam Marsonek. It was Lopez' second hit of the game. Scott Proctor came into the game with the bases loaded and no outs and retired the side to earn the save.

Mike Romano took the loss despite pitching well. He allowed two earned runs over seven innings on nine hits and a walk. He struck out six batters.
