September 10, 2004 - Great playoff pitching continued for Columbus in game two of the first round. A night after falling 2-1 in 13 innings the Clippers responded with a 4-1 victory on the arms of Alex Graman (insert) and Sam Marsonek. Graman went seven strong, allowing one run on six hits.

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the seventh, the Clippers took the lead when Jason Giambi was hit by a pitch. Michael Vento singled to left and both runners advanced an extra base on an error by the left fielder. Mike Kelly drove in both base runners with a blast to the right center field alley that went for a triple. Felix Escalona scored Kelly with a single.

Marsonek returned on injury rehab after seven weeks on the DL.
