That those young men up there in the Bronx NYC lace up and give it 100% game in and game out is one of the most admirable feats I have seen in in the NCAA in quite some time. Yes, we all want to see winners, 360 slam dunks, double doubles, etc. - but that isn't always the case. The character that Coach Grasso and those young men have displayed is something to watch. I have traveled to see them play everytime they are anywhere in the southeast, as I live in Raleigh NC. and altough at times I am sad by their loss, I am also proud of how hard they have played, they have given it their all and in life that means a whole lot.
As for Chris, he is an awesome young man and his work ethic, mental toughness and skills is a testimony of how well his mother and father have brought him up. The entire family is extremely proud of Chris and I am especially proud of his mom and dad, my sister and brother-in-law. Go Chris, we love you and hope for the best for you, Coach Grasso, his assistants, as well as all the other hardworking Rams!!!
Uncle Raymond and Aunt Karen cheer you on all the way from Tobacco Road in North Carolina. We wear the Rams colors proudly here!!!!

STUNNING VISUAL! The photo was so beautiful it almost transfixed me and I wondered, at first, if it was the wrong shot for a boxing story, especially since it seemed more dance-like than violent. Then I read Taylor's piece (the author and the photographer being one and the same) and he, himself, noted a ZEN-like aspect to some who step into the ring. Clearly these two boxers were in their own zone in this one moment in time and Taylor, you captured it! beautifully. I wasn't clear about "Arriga" at the end. I think he's Torres' father, but the name difference confused me. However, for those of us who like boxing and photography (and yoga!) this was delightful.

The story of the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight is going to be about whether Clottey’s pressure and counter punching can overcome Pacquiao’s foot speed and quick-handed, sharp-punching attacks. Trying to penetrate Clottey’s guard is like trying to get near one of Pacquiao’s veins with a needle—no easy task, even for someone with the speed and offensive capabilities of Pacquiao. Clottey is fighting for the title and not for the money. At the same time, Pacquiao is not going to be there for Clottey to hit either. Clottey will have his moments along the way. But being light on power, he won’t be able to do enough damage or land a high enough volume of punches to slow Pacquiao to the point of submitting to his pressure game.
