Video and Gallery: Shea’s Final Days

FLUSHING, NY – Today it looks like a war zone. A literal shell of its former self, Shea Stadium only has about a month left.

According to some of the workers at the site, Shea should be entirely gone by Feb. 20. As you can see by the pictures and video below, only the infield sections remain – Gates B, C, and D on the outside -at the old stadium and now, workers are taking down the upper deck on the third base side.

With this type of progress, it looks like there will be plenty of parking at Citi Field on Opening Day.
